On 3 June 2026, in Escuinapa de Hidalgo, Sinaloa, unknown armed individuals attacked military and state officers twice with explosives dropped from drones while securing a property in Colonia Emiliano Zapata where authorities had seized multiple weapons. A second drone attack occurred as personnel withdrew from the site and entered the highway. One official vehicle was damaged. There were no casualties.
