On 4 June 2026, ISSP claimed to have targeted a Malian army and Africa Corps convoy with an IED between Ansongo and Menaka, coded to I-n-Fijaren (Talataye, Ansongo, Gao), a midpoint on the road between the two locations. The explosion destroyed an armored vehicle and resulted in an unspecified number of injuries.
