On 30 May 2026, the Malian army announced that it conducted airstrikes against an armed group (likely JNIM, based on location), located east of Kassela (Baguineda Camp, Kati, Koulikoro). Approximately 20 militants were neutralized (meaning killed), and significant equipment and logistics were destroyed. Another series of airstrikes targeted a militant base in the same area, resulting in the neutralization (meaning killing) of around 30 militants and the destruction of several motorcycles. 50 (20+30) fatalities coded.
