On 2 June 2026, a 12-year old boy belonging to Myanmar was killed while mistakenly playing with a mortar shell along Bangladesh - Myanmar border area in Ghandung union, Naikhongchhari upazila (Bandarban, Chittagong), amid incidents of landmine and mortar explosions along the border area, planted by assailants from Myanmar. The family of victim shifted from Myanmar amid incidents of violence in the border areas. Total 1 fatality.
