SAA event in Kyiv, Darnyts'kyi District area, Ukraine on Sun 7th June 2026

A man suspected of involvement in the shooting was detained in the Darnytskyi district of Kyiv, and shell casings were found at the scene.

Details : The 112 hotline received a report of a man walking through the yard of a residential building in the Darnytskyi district and shooting.

Patrol officers quickly arrived at the specified address, where they found a man with an object that looked like a weapon.

Literally the police : "We brought the service firearm into combat readiness in accordance with Article 46 of the Law of Ukraine "On the National Police", since in the current situation there could be grounds for its use, and detained the offender using handcuffs in accordance with Article 45 "On the National Police".

"The patrol officers checked the scene and found shell casings, probably left after the shots. So we called an investigative and operational team to the scene. The weapon was seized for examination."

Details : Investigators detained the man under Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine and initiated criminal proceedings under Part 4 of Article 296 (Hooliganism committed with the use of weapons) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
