A 19-year-old oil field worker was killed on June 5 when Myanmar junta forces launched multiple drone strikes on Leytaung town, located on Ramree Island.

According to sources, junta forces targeted an oil drilling site in Taw Lay Village (Ward No. 2, Leytaung) between 5:07 PM and 5:30 PM, dropping four explosives from drones.

Following the drone strikes, a junta naval vessel stationed nearby fired seven heavy artillery shells into the area.
