On May 31, a cocktail explosion targeted the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) office, injuring at least three people, identified as Mohammad Furkan Kasai, Mohammad Echhem, and Mohammad Firoz, in Piarpur Union of Daulatpur Upazila (Sub-District) of Kushtia District, reports Prothom Alo. Police stated that there has been a political dispute between former chairman of Piarpur Union Parishad (UP) Zahurul Haque and former general secretary of Union Jubo Dal Muntaz over the elections. It was reported that 8-10 people known as supporters of former chairman Zahurul Haque targeted the BNP office and exploded several cocktails.
