SAA event in Punjab, Bhaini Paswal, Gurdaspur District area, India on Fri 29th May 2026

On May 29, Jalandhar Police arrested three persons, identified as Manjot Singh, Sandeep Singh, and Amandeep Singh alias Aman, and recovered five .32-bore pistols, nine magazines, and 22 live cartridges from their possession in Punjab, reports The Tribune. Police first apprehended Manjot Singh near the Jalandhar bus stand and recovered one pistol. Based on his disclosures, Sandeep and Amandeep were subsequently arrested from the Bhaini Paswal village in Gurdaspur District. Further recoveries of four pistols, eight magazines, and 18 cartridges were made near Dhusi Bundh in Bhaini Paswa. Director General of Police (DGP) Gaurav Yadav stated that preliminary investigations indicate the module was involved in illegal arms smuggling within Punjab.
