On June 2, Vice-President of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) ward number 2 of TSB Bahirdia Union number 4 of Upazila (Sub-District) identified as Shahinur Sheikh (45) was injured in a gunfight in Taltala area of Rupsha Upazila (Sub-District) of Khulna District, reports Prothom Alo. According to Police, Shahinur was staying at a tea shop in his village where two helmeted youths (identities not yet revealed) riding motorcycles opened fire on him. One bullet hit Shahinur in the leg. No case has been filed in this incident yet, and no one has been arrested.
