On June 2, Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) worker Rana Mia (28) was stabbed to death by Mohammad Mahin, the son of a Jamaat-e-Islami (JeI) leader, Mofidul Islam, in Madhyapara village of Char Ishwardia in Mymensingh District, reports Prothom Alo. Mofidul is a member of the executive committee of Mymensingh Metropolitan Jamaat. There has been a dispute between the family of Mofidul Islam, and Rana Mia's family.
