On June 1, a tribal elder, identified as Haji Mohammad Nabi, in Aybak city, the capital of Samangan Province, was attacked by armed men and died after being taken to the hospital, reports Hahst-e Subh. Nabi and was one of the elders of the “Gozar Masjid Jami Kandil Khan” area in Aybak city. He was attacked near his home. The sources added that after being hit by several bullets, he was first taken to the provincial hospital in Samangan and later transferred to Mazar-i-Sharif for treatment.
