SAA event in Colombia on Thu 4th June 2026

Following sustained fighting in the Santa Mónica village, municipality of Concordia, Antioquia, troops from the @GaulaMilitares Valle de Aburrá of the FourthBrigade, in coordination with @Policiantioquia, captured a suspected member of the Edwin Román Velásquez Valle substructure of the Clan del Golfo organized armed group. As a result of this action, the suspect was wounded and received immediate medical attention from our soldiers, who provided first aid and saved his life. During the military operation, a rifle, five magazines, 145 rounds of ammunition, a motorcycle, and a cell phone were seized.
