In Romania, military explosive ordnance disposal divers neutralized a YARM naval anti-landing mine discovered on a beach between Black Sea resorts. This... reported Ministry of National Defence of Romania.

A mine was found on the beach between the settlements of Vama Veche and 2 Mai. Emergency services were notified of the dangerous discovery; the area was then cordoned off, and an operation to detonate the munition was carried out.

According to the Romanian Ministry of Defence, the mine was destroyed approximately three hours after it was reported found.

The Romanian Ministry of Defence stated that since the start of Russia's full-scale war against Ukraine, the Romanian Navy has neutralized nine of the 156 sea mines detected in the Black Sea basin.

A similar incident occurred previously in early 2026, when a naval mine was discovered on the beach near the Midia training ground. At that time, it was also neutralized by Romanian military explosive ordnance disposal specialists after several hours of work.
