SAA event in Vojvodina, Novi Sad area, Serbia on Wed 3rd June 2026

As part of a major police operation against an organised criminal group involved in drug trafficking, police arrested six men (aged 27, 27, 27, 25, 23, 23). The group is suspected of transporting, storing, and distributing cocaine and marijuana across Serbia, specifically using vehicles with modified hidden compartments. During searches of apartments and other premises in Belgrade and Novi Sad, the police found and seized approximately 2.25 kg of cocaine, 3.2 kg of marijuana, a small amount of MDMA, and a significant amount of cash and gold. During the raid, a revolver with six rounds of ammunition was also found and seized. An international warrant has been issued for one additional member of the group. The leader of the group, a 27-year-old man, has been detained for 48 hours.
