Law enforcement officers reported that they had detained a 29-year-old Lviv man who stabbed a serviceman of the Central Military District and the Joint Forces a few days earlier in Lviv.

Police verbatim : "In Lviv, police officers detained a man who stabbed a serviceman of the CCC...Investigators... informed the detainee of suspicion... under Part 2 of Article 350 (Threat or violence against an official or a citizen performing a public duty) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine."
Details : The incident occurred on the afternoon of May 29 on Khvylovoho Street in the Shevchenkivskyi district of Lviv, when representatives of the CCC, together with the police, were conducting activities to alert the public.
"Upon seeing the alert group, the 29-year-old Lviv man immediately started running away. When they caught up with him, he grabbed a knife and stabbed the soldier in the shoulder. After the incident, he fled, and the wounded man was taken to the hospital," the prosecutor's office reported, adding that a 36-year-old soldier was injured.
The attacker was later found and detained in his aunt's apartment, where he was hiding.
The man faces restriction of liberty for a term of 3 to 5 years or imprisonment for the same term.
