On 24 May 2026, in Maungdaw township (Maungdaw district, Rakhine state), three Bangladeshi men stepped on a landmine planted by an unidentified armed group while collecting firewood along the Bangladesh-Myanmar border in Ghumdhum union, Naikhyangchari upazila, Bandarban district, at around 12 pm. All three were killed. 3 fatalities.
