On 28 May 2026, in Kyaukpyu township (Kyaukpyu district, Rakhine state), the Myanmar military conducted airstrikes and dropped about 30 bombs on the Pein Ne Taung-Maw U road section that was being repaired with two Y-12 jets at around 6:45 am. A civilian man was killed and 7 others were injured. 1 fatality.
