On 23 May 2026, in Sar Twin village (Wuntho township, Kawlin district, Sagaing region), the Myanmar military launched airstrikes by dropping 500lb bombs and firing two rockets on the village using a fighter jet coming from Tada-U Airbase at 6:25 pm. The bombs landed near a monastery, killing a 14-year-old boy and injuring 3 others, including a 14-year-old novice, who were playing Chinlone in the monastery compound. 1 fatality.
