On 26 May 2026, Israeli warplanes launched at least 3 airstrikes on Qaraaoun (West Bekaa, Bekaa). The first strike at the southern entrance of the town killing a Lebanese soldier and caused extensive damage to the surrounding area. Shortly after, a drone struck a motorcycle 500 meters away from the first strike site, killing a Syrian man. Lebanese civil defense and ambulances of Islamic Risala Scout Association [affiliated with Amal Movement] arrived at the scene and Israeli drones struck them twice, killing a an aid worker and a paramedic and injuring others. The strikes also cut the road to Mashghara. Total fatalities were 4.
