On 25 May 2026, night, US forces struck (coded as air/drone strikes by default) IRGC navy boats in Larak Island in the Strait of Hormuz (Qeshm, Hormozgan), killing at least 3 IRGC personnel. According to U.S. officials, the strikes followed intelligence assessments of potentially threatening Iranian military activity, including suicide drones flown near U.S. Navy warships in the Gulf of Oman and Arabian Sea and movements at surface-to-air missile positions near the Strait of Hormuz. This event occurred following the two-week ceasefire agreed between the US, Israel, and Iran on 7 April. At least 3 fatalities.
