On 25 May 2026, the Green Unit, the armed wing of Afghanistan Green Trend led by former Afghan Vice-President Amrullah Saleh, targeted a Datsun vehicle carrying ten Taliban forces with a roadside landmine in Manjenesto village of Abdullah Khel area, Darah district, Panjshir. The Green Unit claimed that the operation was carried out in retaliation for the deaths of two of its members, who were executed by the Taliban after being arrested the previous year. They also claimed that the Taliban vehicle was completely destroyed. Casualties unknown.
