On 25 May 2026, in Florencia (Caqueta), a low-powered explosive device (unspecified) was detonated as a motorcycle police patrol was passing along Circunvalar Avenue, slightly injuring two police officers and a minor civilian who was passing through the area on a motorcycle with a woman. According to authorities, the attack is suspected to be a retaliation by the Rodrigo Cadete FARC dissident front following recent security force operations against the group in the area. There were no fatalities.
