On 21 May 2026, in Kywe Htein Kone village (Tanintharyi township, Myeik district, Tanintharyi region), the Myanmar military (LIB-561) fired artillery rounds into the village at around 6:30 pm. The artillery shells struck two houses located west of a school, killing a 40-year-old civilian man and injuring 2 others (a 20-year-old man and a five-year-old girl). The five-year-old girl also lost one of her legs. 1 fatality.
