State police captured four alleged members of La Familia Michoacana cartel on a dirt road in Tenancingo, State of Mexico. The suspects are allegedly involved in homicide, extortion, and kidnapping. Upon arriving at the location, the suspects attempted to flee at high speed, leading to a chase that ended when patrol units blocked their white, high-end SUV. Forensic analysis confirmed the arrest of the individuals involved: Juan N, Rodrigo N, José N, and Esteban N. Tactical seizures included two high-caliber rifles, a replica pistol, three magazines, 90 rounds of ammunition, 18 homemade tire spikes, and a cell phone. The luxury vehicle had a current report of armed robbery. The southern part of the state experiences a high frequency of operational deployments due to the rivalry between this criminal group and cells of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel, with a recent history of direct armed attacks against public security forces in neighboring municipalities. The detainees were placed at the disposal of the judicial authorities.
