UAV event in Donetsk Oblast, Horlivka area, Ukraine on Sun 31st May 2026
31st May 2026
Over the past week, the Donbas Dome system and combined mobile fire groups have prevented 77 terrorist attacks by the enemy.
Ukrainian
militants continue to target the Republic’s civilian population. Power
stations, petrol stations, railway junctions, filtration plants and
water pumping stations remain in their sights.
The enemy is
attempting to strike key transport routes across the region, targeting
civilian vehicles, scheduled buses, ambulances, and emergency and
municipal service vehicles.
To counter what authorities describe
as Ukrainian terrorism, the Donbas Dome system is being upgraded and the
number of mobile fire groups is being increased.
📍 In the
Makiivka urban district, the enemy attempted to strike a railway
junction using an FP-2 fixed-wing attack drone armed with an FP-105
high-explosive fragmentation warhead containing a total of 50kg of
explosives.
📍 Along a motorway near Shakhtarsk, Ukrainian
militants targeted civilian vehicles with a Chaika attack drone carrying
a high-explosive fragmentation payload.
📍 In Debaltseve, militants attempted to attack a railway junction using Hornet fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles.
📍
Near residential areas of Yenakiieve, a Baba Yaga multirotor drone and a
Darts fixed-wing UAV carrying high-explosive fragmentation charges with
a combined explosive weight of 3kg were intercepted.
📍 In
Horlivka, a Hornet attack drone that Ukrainian militants allegedly
intended to use against a water pumping station was shot down. A Baton
attack drone aimed at a municipal services vehicle depot was also
neutralised, while FPV drones carrying improvised explosive devices were
intercepted and suppressed.
The Donbas Dome system, operated by
personnel from the regional directorate of Russia’s Federal Security
Service (FSB), together with combined mobile fire groups, intercepted
the hostile drones. Explosive ordnance specialists subsequently rendered
the suppressed UAVs safe and destroyed their payloads without causing
damage to civilians or infrastructure.
