An armed confrontation stemming from Operation Argos resulted in the deaths of two assailants and the arrest of one person in the community of La Dilatada Sur, in Almoloya de Juárez, State of Mexico, on May 28, 2026. State police repelled a direct attack with gunfire and pursued the suspects into a wooded area. The captured individual was fully identified by authorities as 19-year-old Luis N., who was wearing tactical gear with insignia linked to a criminal organization originating in Michoacán. Initial investigations directly connect him to express kidnappings in the region. During the perimeter inspection of the property used as a safe house, our correspondent on site documented the exact seizure of the following items: - 1 assault rifle - 1 red pickup truck without license plates - 1 blue sedan with a theft report - 2 motorcycles. The scene was processed by ministerial experts and the bodies were transferred to the morgue to continue the legal process.
