On 29 June 2021, near Kawlin town (Kawlin Township, Kawlin District, Sagaing Region) the Kawlin People's Defense Force fired at cars - guarded by Myanmar military soldiers with 11 military trucks - carrying refined gold belonging to the military-appointed Chief Minister of Mandalay Region. The Kawlin PDF fired at the cars with an RPG launcher three times. Casualties unknown.
