On 30 June 2021, Turkish army forces carried out a drone strike targeting a vehicle carrying YBS militants near Serdest camp (unknown location) in Shengal (Sinjar) mountain in Ninewa. Source reported that no casualties occurred and attacked caused only material damage . Other sources initially identified the target as PKK militants, but this was not confirmed.
