On the night of May 31, the Russian Saratov Oil Refinery was attacked by strike drones, resulting in a large-scale fire on the territory of the enterprise.

Details: Explosions were heard in the city at around 3 a.m. Local residents released photos and videos showing several areas of fire and a thick column of smoke above the plant. According to preliminary data, the isomerization unit was hit.

Local authorities have not yet commented on the consequences of the attack. Saratov Oblast Governor Roman Busargin only stated the threat of UAVs in the region.

The Saratov Refinery is part of the Rosneft oil company and is one of the oldest oil refining enterprises in the Volga region, providing fuel to the Russian occupation forces.

There are also reports of damage to an oil depot in the settlement of Matveyev Kurgan, Rostov Region.
