SAA event in Raška District, Boroštica area, Serbia on Sat 23rd May 2026

A man was severely injured following a public dispute with a group of men. During the argument, one of the participants shot the victim in the leg, after which several individuals physically assaulted him, causing serious head injuries. The victim was transported to the hospital unconscious and later transferred to another hospital for further treatment. Police have arrested four men, while an intensive search is underway for a fifth man involved in the incident. Following an extensive search of difficult, swampy terrain, police officers found and seized a pistol suspected to have been used in a violent dispute over land boundaries. Along with the firearm, investigators recovered several shell casings and the victim's mobile phone. Investigation is ongoing.
