A journalist, Abdul Latif Baloch, who worked for Quetta-based newspaper Daily Intikhab as a correspondent, was gunned down by unidentified assailants in the Mashkay area of Awaran District in Balochistan on May 24, reports The Balochistan Post. The gunmen barged into the journalist’s house in the wee hours of May 24-morning and tried to take him away. When he offered resistance, the intruders opened fire, killing him on the spot. According to Police officials, Abdul Latif Baloch was also working in the Levies force department. Few years ago, the body of Baloch’s kidnapped son was found in Mashkay.
