The Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) cadres established a blockade on the N-70 Highway in the Chang Nadhi Chappar area of Barkhan District in Balochistan on May 23, where vehicles were searched and monitored for several hours, reports The Balochistan Post. The BLF claimed responsibility for the attack in a released statement on May 25. During the blockade, the BLF said cadres seized and burned a coal-laden truck transporting natural resources and destroyed surveillance cameras installed along the highway. According to the statement, Frontier Corps personnel stationed nearby attempted to advance toward the area during the blockade but were forced to retreat after coming under attack from BLF cadres positioned defensively.
