On May 22, Army trooper Gaykar Sandip Pandurang, 32, was killed, and two others were injured in a gun battle between Security Forces (SFs) and terrorists in the village of Singapore in the Chatroo area of Kishtwar district, Jammu and Kashmir (J&K), reports Daily Excelsior. Pakistani terrorist and Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) commander Saifullah could be among those trapped. After initial contact, four terrorists split into two groups of two each and took positions at Singhpora and Beighpora in the Chatroo area of Kishtwar district, the sources said. An official confirmation is awaited; however, according to the sources, all four are believed to be Pakistanis and were equipped with weapons such as M4 Carbines and AK-47s.
