On May 22, Crime Reporters Association of Bangladesh (CRAB) President Mirza Mehedi Tamal and General Secretary MM Badshah issued a statement condemning and protesting the attack on the Dhaka Reporters Unity (DRU) office in the Segunbagicha area of Dhaka on May 21, injuring several journalists, including former president of CRAB Abu Saleh Akon, reports prothomalo.com. The statement said that in addition to the DRU president, many journalists, including the organization's office secretary Rafiq Rafi, members Mashiur Rahman, Mahbub Hasan, Delwar Mahin, and Mofizul Sadiq, were injured in the attack.
