28th May 2026
On the night of May 29, Russian occupiers used a UAV to attack a Turkish dry cargo ship that had left the port in the Odessa region.
This was reported by the Ukrainian Navy .
As a result of hitting the ship's superstructure, a fire broke out, and there are also injuries among the crew members.
According to the Ukrainian military, this is the dry cargo ship ANT, which was headed to a Turkish port under the flag of Vanuatu (ship-owning country Turkey) with cargo on board.
The fire on the ship was quickly contained thanks to the prompt action of the Navy and the Maritime Search and Rescue Service.
Recall that on May 24, Russian troops attacked a civilian cargo ship under the flag of Saint Kitts and Nevis, which was heading to one of the ports of Greater Odessa to load grain.
The bulk carrier was hit by two drones. A fire broke out on board, which was extinguished by the crew themselves.
Another attack on a civilian ship, already under the Liberian flag, took place on April 14. It was heading to the port in Odessa.
