A police operation in León resulted in a car and foot chase after a woman was reported kidnapped in the Paseos de las Torres neighborhood. Two armed men, feigning interest in buying a house, intercepted the victim and forced her into a gray Chevrolet S10 pickup truck on May 26 in León, Guanajuato, Mexico. Security personnel located the vehicle on Independencia Street and initiated a pursuit after noticing the suspects fleeing toward José María Morelos Boulevard. During the escape, the criminals attempted to abandon the vehicle separately. One of them ran into the brush near the exit to Lagos de Moreno to hide, but the perimeter security prevented the escape of both suspects and allowed for the woman's rescue. The detainees were identified as Ernesto N and Jairo Brandon N. The items seized by the authorities were: one .380 caliber firearm, ten rounds of ammunition, and one gray Chevrolet S10 pickup truck. The surrounding area was placed under strict security. Our team observed a large deployment of patrol cars blocking the main access points to secure the scene. The State Attorney General's Office received the weapons and the suspects to begin the corresponding investigations.
