Yesterday, May 25, at around 11:30 PM, the military council troops stationed in Chaung-U town deliberately fired 120mm heavy artillery shells at surrounding villages despite the absence of any ongoing clashes.

One of the artillery shells fired by the military landed and exploded inside Kyi Kone village, injuring two adults and two young children—all four of whom are female—inside a residential home. Among them, one adult sustained severe injuries.
