The terrorist military column, which departed from Launglon town at around 3:00 AM early on May 22, initially triggered clashes with revolutionary forces as it advanced into nearby Nyinmaw, Yinboke, and Sitpyal villages. On May 24, further clashes erupted between this military column and revolutionary forces, leaving 3 soldiers dead and many others wounded.
