HARTFORD, Conn. (WFSB) - The State Bomb Squad was at Avalon Farms for the report of an “incendiary device”, according to Jennifer Mahr, first selectwoman of Middlebury. Mahr said the device was extinguished and seized for evidence. She confirmed the area was deemed safe afterwards. Mahr said Middlebury police are conducting a criminal investigation into this incident. There was no threat to the public. No further details were released.
