Three family members, including a five-year-old child, were killed after stepping on a landmine planted by military junta forces in Nyaung Yeik Thar village, located in the southern part of Butalin Township, Sagaing Region, according to local sources.

The child along with his mother and father, who were returning to the village because the military junta column had departed from inside the village, stepped on the mine this morning (May 21).
