On 20 May 2026, Ukrainian forces struck a drone pilot training facility of the Russian Academy of Rocket and Artillery Sciences training servicemembers of the Russian 78th Spetsnaz Sever-Akhmat Regiment (42nd Motorized Rifle Division, 58th Combined Arms Army [CAA], Southern Military District [SMD]) in occupied Snizhne, Donetsk. The strike inflicted 65 casualties (coded as 65 fatalities based on the claim of the initial source), including a lieutenant colonel with call sign 'Buryi' who headed the facility, and destroyed production and repair facilities as well as four Tiger armored inside them.
