On 16 May 2026, an unidentified armed group dropped suspected bombs around Yautare grazing reserve in Yautare (Darazo, Bauchi). Police troops in collaboration with the military, vigilantes and local residents conducted a search operation and identified 21 impact points suspected to be from bomb drops in Jeje Forest and Aliya Grazing reserve. Residents reported hearing loud sounds suspected to be explosions and seeing unidentified helicopters hovering over the area. There were no casualties.
