On 18 May 2026, overnight, the Malian army, supported by Africa Corps, conducted a drone strike targeting a civilian pickup truck in Amasrakad (Anchawadi, Gao, Gao) for unspecified reasons. 2 people were killed and another four were injured, including three women and one child. On the same day, they also launched an airstrike on an abandoned vehicle and an uninhabited house in the same town, causing material damage but no further casualties.
