Air Delivered event in Mali on Sun 17th May 2026
17th May 2026
On 17 May 2026, the Malian army, supported by Africa Corps, conducted an airstrike targeting armed group positions (likely FLA, based on location) in Kal Relle Tadjmart (Adjelhoc, Tessalit, Kidal), after previous reconnaissance and tracking operations identified four gathering points used by the armed group members to coordinate activities and store equipment. 1 civilian was killed, and four others, including two women, were injured. The Azawad Liberation Front (FLA), human rights organizations and media outlets claimed that the Malian army and Africa Corps dropped Russian-made RBK-500-2.5 cluster bombs in Kal Relle Tadjmart on the same day.
