On 22 May 2026, near La Gabarra (Tibu, Norte de Santander), an explosive device dropped from a drone struck a house in the Barrancas vereda. Local communities claimed that several drones flew over the area, attacking multiple homes. The incident is believed to have occurred amid clashes between FARC dissident groups and the ELN, which are fighting for control of the area. However, it remains unclear which group was responsible for the attack or whether the house was intentionally targeted. Casualties unknown.
