On 17 May 2026, in El Bordo (Cauca), two unidentified suspects on a motorcycle threw two fragmentation grenades at a police patrol car with three officers inside, slightly injuring one of them who suffered a concussion and partially damaging the police vehicle. The officer was taken to hospital. There were no fatalities.
