On 12 May 2026, in Na Be Pin Hla village (Wetlet township, Shwebo district, Sagaing region), the Myanmar military conducted an airstrike and dropped two 250-lb bombs with a fighter jet which fell and exploded at a monastery without an armed clash occurring. A monk and a civilian were injured and a monastery building was damaged.
