An oil terminal caught fire in Novorossiysk, Krasnodar Territory, Russia, as a result of a drone attack.

Details : The Russians traditionally report that the fire at the oil depot was allegedly caused by "falling debris from a drone."

Verbatim from the operational headquarters report: "There are no casualties. Several technical and administrative buildings caught fire. Also, drone debris fell on the territory of the fuel terminal."

Details : Later, the operations center reported that two people were allegedly injured.

Russian media outlets reported that a fire broke out in Novorossiysk after a supposed "Ukrainian attack."

According to Astra's OSINT analysis, the Sheskharis transshipment complex is likely on fire.

For reference : The Sheskharis transshipment complex is the largest oil terminal in southern Russia, part of the structure of Chornomortransneft JSC (Transneft PJSC). The facility provides reception, storage, and export shipment of oil and oil products on tankers.

Updated : Astra later noted that according to its OSINT analysis, the "Grushova Balka" oil depot is on fire.

The report added that the Sheskharis PC is the end point of the main oil pipelines of PJSC Transneft in the Krasnodar Territory. The transshipment complex includes two industrial sites - Grushova and Sheskharis, located 12 km from each other.

 

As a reminder : On the night of March 2, a large fire broke out at the Sheskharis oil terminal in Novorossiysk as a result of a kamikaze drone attack. Later, the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense confirmed the attack on the terminal.

On the evening of April 6, the Russian Federation again reported a UAV attack in Novorossiysk .
