Coordinated operations strike at criminal infrastructure in Chiapas. The Mexican Navy, the Ministry of Security and Citizen Protection, and the Attorney General's Office simultaneously raided four properties in the town of Paredón on May 22, 2026, acting on court orders. The operation neutralized a strategic storage center maintained by criminal networks in this southern border region for transnational trafficking. The coastal and inland areas of Chiapas remain on high alert due to the constant flow of shipments entering from Central America and seeking routes north. The arrest of four suspects at the site was confirmed. Officers seized 50 packages of cocaine, a cache of weapons, multiple radio communication devices, and dozens of containers of fuel hidden in a warehouse. The scene and the seized materials were placed under strict forensic custody, while the detainees were immediately transferred to the federal prosecutor's office to begin the corresponding legal proceedings.
