Agents from DIPAFRONT and SGAIA intercepted a shipment of weapons hidden in packages of used clothing. An official source, speaking on condition of anonymity, confirmed that the discovery occurred in warehouse 9 of the Santo Tomás de Castilla port facility in Puerto Barrios, Izabal. The weapons originated from a port in Miami and were destined for Guatemalan territory. SAT authorities coordinated the inspection in lane 20 to halt the flow of these supplies. The investigation remains confidential to locate the intended recipients. The following weapons were seized at the site: - 14 .22 caliber rifles - 1 carbine - 9 magazines - 4,969 rounds of ammunition of various calibers. The case has been turned over to the appropriate authorities to trace the arms trafficking networks.
